So, while it was always true, I officially have the best flist ever. You can argue if you'd like but I'm pretty sure it's true.
I'm feeling suspiciously cheerful today. I've been crossing things off my to do list (in red), which you know I love. I also got new office supplies (post-its in three different sizes, because you never know. I have very specific post-it needs.) and spent some time with our office interior designer (our IT guy who always gets roped into the remodels and is...less than excited about it) to order all new furniture for my department, which is awesome as I'm pretty sure some of this stuff has been around since the Eisenhower administration. I have the biggest crush and really enjoyed making him talk about the pros and cons between grey and orange extension cords and whether or not we should go for cherry or ash fake wood. I think he really enjoyed himself. He had an enormous tape measure so I can hardly see how he could have failed to be entertained. He only slightly looked like he wanted to pitch himself out of a window toward the end.
The only thing would make this day better (besides, you know, the end to my unrelenting pain) would be a cookie (chocolate chip!) and some hot chocolate. In other words, choooooocolate, which can't be emphasized enough.
