(no subject)

Hi! Hi! Hello!

I've spent the morning being Relatively! Productive! At! Work!! Lately, it happens so rarely, partly because I did my taxes, which emphasized the facts that a) I didn't get a bonus last year despite seriously going above and beyond when we had turnover issues and b) my base salary is shockingly low given my title and responsibilities. I'll have to be honest and say it put me out more than a little, particularly since they've started to ask me to work on Saturdays.

Anyway, productive, which is good because I'll be out tomorrow finally having my MRI. I'm not currently nervous about it (so keep your horror stories to yourself :D). It's a compression MRI, which the Internet assures me will be a good time. I'm planing lunch and a manicure after, so while I could technically go into work after (and before my doctor's appointment), I've decided that I'll deserve good things to happen instead. and that starts today when I plan to go grab some coffee and a cookie (cooooooooookie).

Other big and exciting news, I cleaned last night. I hadn't actually vacuumed since before I hurt my back, sooooo December, and my house was just a general tip--not quite a hoarders episode but if you had a look around, you might be shaking your head to say, "this is how it starts, Dani". So I picked up the trash and took out the recycling and put things where they mostly belonged. I still need to dust and finish the laundry and mop (my least favorite task) but it's better.

I also decided that I needed to see and hear and read new things. ( this got long )

Wow. I have been rambling, which is going to put a dent in my whole "productive!!" theme I had going on today.
