John doesn't like to draw his gun, especially against another agent. Especially one he's known since university.

"You owe me a lifetime of favors, John."

"They know where you are, Billy. You’ll run out of places to hide eventually."

"Not likely."

"It doesn't have to be this way. It's not you they want back, is it."

“They’ve got it wrong.”

“Why’s that?” John watches as Billy's eyes dart to the left, knowing immediately why Billy doesn't bother to answer. He hears the click of the hammer falling into place a second before the metal of Dominic's gun is placed against his temple. Letting himself be caught will be the first of many favors asked of him, John suspects, and wonders, not for the first time, what retirement would feel like.

"Look, Billy. American made."

"John's never had any taste in guns."

"It was my father's." John releases his hold and lets the gun swing from his thumb, lets Billy take it from him. He twists his mouth to the side and makes a noise when Billy half nods to Dominic and both men take a step back. "Favors can't get you by forever, Billy."

“They’ll get us far enough.”

sigh, such a hard spot for them to be in, no good answers. At least John's on their side, letting himself be caught...

Oh my god, look at John's face, you captured it perfectly that he doesn't like to draw his gun. I love the snark about the gun, and Billy turning John's "favours won't get YOU by" to "they'll get US far enough." Oh, I really think John needs to be part of this universe, oh yes. And the wondering about retirement, my god, they all want out but Billy, don't they, but that's because he's been pushed out already in so many ways, poor darling.

Known Billy since university, hmm? Mmmm. *PONDER*
