Title: (Not) Bothered (By You)
Pairing: ew, bb, dm
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Bothered was Elijah’s POV, Bothered (By You) was Dominic’s POV, (Not) Bothered (By You) is Billy’s POV.

Sitting in the backseat, bewildered, Billy sighed. He wondered what the hell Dominic was thinking by coming back to Elijah’s. He leaned his head against the back of the seat and looked out the window. Dominic stood with his back against the driver’s side door, arms crossed. Billy leaned over and rapped on the window with his knuckles. Dominic didn’t move.

Billy slid across the seat and opened the door, pushing it wide. Grasping the driver’s headrest for balance, he stuck a foot out of the door and partially raised himself out of the car. Just enough so that he could see Dominic. “Forget something?”

“Um, no, but I thought that, um, maybe you and ah . . .” Dominic’s hands fluttered around, vaguely gesturing towards Elijah’s house before resting on his hips, as he stumbled over his words.

Billy stood up out of the car and leaned against the back passenger door that hung open between them. “What exactly did you think was going to happen tonight, Dom?”

Dominic looked towards the house and Billy’s eyes followed. A patch of diffused yellow light glowed through a window on the second story. Elijah’s bedroom. Billy sighed again, letting his head fall to his arm that was resting on the door. He *had* wanted something to happen that night—and it didn’t involve Frodo. Moving his head to set his chin on his hand, he looked back at Dominic. “He’s cute.”

“Yeah. It’s the whole blue-eyed wonder thing.”

“You know, I have a thing for beautiful eyes, especially bluish ones.”

“I noticed.” Dominic gave a half-hearted smile, looking down as scuffled his shoes over the grass.

Then Billy had a sudden realization. Grinning, he slid his hands into his trouser pockets and rolled back on his heels, feeling sure of his reward. “Did you? What about you? He’s got that gap between his teeth. That’s pretty sexy.”

“Green, actually.”

“Nah, I’d’ve noticed that. Rather into dental hygiene, isn’t he?”

“Eyes, you idiot,” Dominic laughed, finding the courage to look into the pair staring at him. “Especially when they have that *look*.”

Billy carefully shut the door between them. He stood for a moment unsure of how to proceed; though, *there* was a question that begged to be asked. He hoped he liked the answer. He turned to face Dominic and leaned his elbow onto the top of the car. “What look?”

“The look you gave me in the club tonight. I though that . . .”

Billy took a step closer and their legs touched. “You thought what?”

“I thought that you wanted to . . .” His voice trailed off as Billy took another step.

Billy was close enough to smell Dominic’s cologne, to smell Dominic. The tip of Dominic’s tongue darted out to swipe at his upper lip before nervously biting at his lower lip. He looked at Billy, then towards Elijah’s window again, before beginning to inspect his nails, suddenly interested in a ragged edge he found there. Billy focused his attention on that lip trapped between teeth.

“Mmmhmm,” Billy encouraged. “Go on. Wanted to what?” He tilted his head to the side and leaned in close. His breath was warm against Dominic’s cheek and he watched Dominic’s eyes slide shut as he waited. Billy smiled and asked, “This?” before kissing Dominic’s cheek, chastely and very briefly, then backing up to lean against the car again.

Dominic waited with his eyes closed. Waited for more. It didn’t come.

Billy waited until Dominic opened his eyes before asking, “That wasn’t it, was it?”

“Noooo,” he said, drawing the word out, his mouth curling into a smile. “Um . . .something a little more…”

“Like this?” Billy moved in again, this time gripping Dominic’s hips, pushing him hard against the car, and pulling himself flush against Dominic’s body. Tilting his head again, he crushed their lips together.

Billy felt Dominic’s hands clutch at his back, rustling under his jacket, pulling his shirt tight. Dominic parted his lips, his tongue searching, demanding more. Billy ended the kiss, but his hips still pressed into Dominic’s.

“Ah, yeah,” Dominic started, then cleared his throat, hands still clutching the thin material of Billy’s shirt. “Definitely something more like that but…”

“But what?”

“I thought…”

“You think too much,” Billy said, nibbling on Dominic’s chin, feeling the stubble against his lips.

“You and Elijah. Did you? You did, didn’t you?”

Billy stopped his nipping and straightened up to look at Dominic. He knew what Dominic was asking, what he was thinking about, but Billy was still deciding on what to say.

Elijah *was* cute in that Boy Wonder way. He would be fun, lots of fun, but it wouldn’t last. Dominic, on the other hand…. “Mebbe,” Billy answered then leaned back in, pressing their lips together.

Dominic hesitated then gave in for a fleeting moment before pulling away. The question was still hanging in the air.

Billy raised a hand to the back of Dominic’s neck, stroking his fingers through the short hairs.

“So what changed?” Dominic asked.

“Do you always talk this much while someone is trying to seduce you?”

“Is that what this is?”

Billy frowned. “You’re a funny guy, Dom.” He pulled his hands off Dominic and started to take a step back. “We can stop here if it’s not…”

“No.” Dominic took a long, but quick stride forward, bringing them fully against one another. “No. Just wanted to know.”

The hands that had returned to Billy’s back tightened their grip, moving up to grasp his shoulders. He smiled and put his hands on Dominic’s waist, rebalancing his weight to push them back against the side of the car. He bit Dominic’s earlobe, before whispering, “This is definitely a seduction.”

“That’s not what I meant. You and Elijah. I just want to make sure I’m not a second choice.”

“You’re not.”

Cupping Dominic’s face in his hands, Billy kissed him then caressed his ears and ran his fingers through his hair.

“But you did fancy him?”

“Em, yes, briefly.”

“Then someone gave me a look.”

“Shall we disturb him, then, or not?”

“I think not,” Dominic said against the lips that had already reclaimed his.

Dominic reached behind himself, feeling around for the door handle, not wanting to break the kiss. Finally, finding it, he started to pull the door open, simultaneously turning them both around so Billy could get inside. “Wait,” he said, against lips again.

“What now?”

“I think you should sit in the back again.”

Billy felt himself physically being pushed towards the back door, which was already being opened. Still connected at the lips, the hands on his shoulders pushed him down into the seat. He reached out, clasping Dominic’s waist, trying to bring Dominic’s body down with him. Dominic gave in for a minute, a knee resting on the seat beside Billy’s thigh, as he was bent over him, still kissing.

“Stop, stop…c’mon Billy,” Dominic begged. “I don’t think Elijah’s neighbors would appreciate us shagging in the backseat.”

“Nice time to think of the neighbors.”

Dominic laughed and Billy felt him quickly pull away. He shut the door before Billy could protest further. Dominic got in, slid the key into the ignition and started the car.

“See that you keep your hands to yourself while I’m driving.”

Billy smiled to himself, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. He still tasted Dominic on his lips. As the car began to move, he started singing.

Neither noticed that there had been an audience other than Elijah’s elderly neighbor.
