I can see where it would be equally problematic to be too flexible as well. I worry about pushing too hard and straining my back again and understand where one could push too far in the other direction as well (not pushing too hard but have it be too easy). Pilates never appealed, though it's a moot point now as the only pilates studio in town closed shop.
