The lovely
hyacinth_sky747 has written an incredible story set during the first war. It's absolutely war and she really doesn't hold back but while some of it is gut wrenching and heart breaking, it's never, ever, ever hopelessly so. It's so filled with love and beautiful thoughts and hopes and dreams and wishes for a better future--it's so real that I found it breath taking. It's truly a great story.
Golden Lads and Girls All Must
It's mostly about Gideon and Fabian Prewitt but truly it is about the whole Order. My particular favorite characters (beyond Gideon, Fabian, and (her original) Walter) are James, Molly, Remus and Professor McGonagall. There's so much and it's so rich. I quite adore it, and not only just because she 1) came over from Lotrips where she was one of my writers, and 2) I got to see it as it was being constructed. It has grown so much since I saw it last, and I hadn't any advance knowledge of the ending, which really left me breathless.
Fear no more the heat of the sun
Nor furious winter’s rages
Thou, thou worldly task hast done
Hast gone home and taken your wages
Golden lads and girls all must
As chimney sweepers
Come to dust.
