Oh internet, how I missed you *cuddles* I am currently media deprived at my house--no cable, no internet. The cable is on purpose and the internet was free-range that has, apparently, been cut off. Very sad. I took yesterday off work to clean my house, which actually got done because I couldn't distract myself by repeatedly refreshing my friends list. And I cross-stitched a bunch, and read a bit, and played a lot of Star Wars Legos game on my Wii, and cuddled cats, and sorted my clothes closet and wrote a bunch of letters and baked a ham. :D I was so productive that I likely won't bother getting my own internet connection any time soon...
But that doesn't mean I didn't miss you because I totallly did.
Now I'm at work, and I'd forgotten my assistant "discovered" Adele this week after her Grammy's performance. I'm actually quite fond of Adele but it's funny how when I play a song on repeat it's not annoying and yet when my assistant does it...
I'm also being evil to another coworker because she was being a bit of a jerk. We do most our reports by share of alphabet, a schedule I've been off of for a bit because I had no staff. My boss redid it Monday but forgot to put me back on. Coworker D called me the second my boss sent the redistribution email, demanding to know why I'd been left off. I had noticed, too, and emailed my boss to remind him of my existence (because I was pretty sure that was it, and I was right) and assured Coworker D that all would be set to right in the end. But then my boss was disinclined to update his email and told me to wait until he does it the next time 'round but that I could help another coworker if I liked (not D but another--someone I actually like and who had helped me when I had no staff and who is entering her busy time now) so that's what I'm doing. Except then I was disinclined to let Coworker D know because she'd been a jerk. I decided it was good for her to steam for a bit at my apparent secret ability to get out of work.
Right. My coffee is nearly gone and I suppose I should work a bit today...
