Holiday Fests

Hello! This year I participated in two holiday fests, rs_small_gifts and slashababy and received lovely gifts in exchange.

For rs_small_gifts, I wrote You Can Count on Me as a bonus, I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm as another bonus, and Not a Kiss Nor Look Be Lost for lyras.

Incidentally, "Not a Kiss Nor Look Be Lost" received the most comments on any single story I've ever written. I'm pretty chuffed by that, especially since I really struggled to write it and worried that I wouldn't finish in time.

I received a really lovely story by themessrs, A Touch of Jazz, which even managed to include a bit of James/Remus (my super sekrit HP OTP).

My recs for rs_small_gifts are here and here, though I think I have a couple of stories toward the end there that I haven't read yet.

For slashababy, I wrote Urge for Going for noalinnea. Shockingly, it's a Sean B./Viggo, which I don't think I've ever written before. I'm kinda happy with it, though I was, in fact, late with it, and struggled over it.

ipso__facto wrote Alptraum for me, an Orlando/Dom, which is one of my not so sekrit OTP's :D but it's really about Orlando and quite beautiful.

I have a recs list started but haven't actually finished reading all the stories yet so I'm going to hold off until I'm done. My favorite part of slashababy (I'll be honest) is trying to figure out who wrote what. Every year I have rather elaborate charts and I spend a good bit of time trying to figure out, and find myself more willing to read pairings I wouldn't otherwise consider. This year, there just wasn't time to read them all without rushing because of LJ's down time last week and the mod's commitment to her timeline (not a criticism, just the way it was). So, I'll admit I was disappointed though definitely not with the quality of fic that was posted, and I look forward, hopefully this coming weekend, to reading the rest. And then a recs list, along with some other stories in other fandoms, including a really good West Wing fic I found.
