It's getting better and better. These loving-caring-tender-sweet moments between Sirius and Remus, James and Remus, Lilly and Remus, Lilly and James are so well written and, in my humble opinion, not soppy at all. Through the entire fic they're just right, hence so believable. And Sirius mercurial temper, his love and his anger, oh boy! It feels as if I could reach and touch it, does it make any sense? Now, Peter. I just can't believe his innocence, his 'I didn't mean, I'm sorry' game even at that point. I believe his selfishness, after all he's a teen (and aren't they all, the four of them, selfish at some level?). But even so, at 16 or 17 he should have known better.
