Helllo!

I'm at work and have been all day and yet have managed to buy:

*a pair of black lowtop Converse. I'm not sure why it took me four weeks to realize that my bad back gives me carte blanche to wear Converse all the time and stop wearing heels (unless they're super cute and I'm not walking anywhere)

*a bottle of Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo, Coolaulin conditioner, and The Smell of Weather Turning perfume from Lush, which is actually my first time buying from Lush. Do you have a favorite product?

*Begin to Hope by Regina Spektor, which I couldn't believe I didn't own before as it has both "Fidelity" and "Samsom", two of my favorites by her.

I went to yoga last night for a class taught by the owner. It was really good and more of what I was looking for. She was great about remembering to suggest other poses for me because I can't do backbends right now, even though the class was really crowded (nearly 35 people, which is the largest class I've ever been in), and did it so unobtrusively that I didn't feel weird about it but rather a part of the class and like I was really having a good session. My instructor last week was really lovely, too, but her suggestions fell more into the "don't do this one" without an alternative or child's pose as the alternative. I was able to get what I wanted out of the class, which is (at least in this case) clarity (of the "omg get yourself together" variety).

i have a pair of purple, which I'm wearing today, and a coral-y pink, that I wear less often. I find myself wearing them more often now because of my back. They are definitely WAY more attractive than normal athletic shoes. I decided I needed a pair of black for work :D

The owner teaches most of the classes and they offer a really good selection from basic to hot yoga to yin and a variety of flow classes. She runs a really great studio, very welcoming, and she's becoming well known in yoga circles as an instructor of yoga teachers, so travels all over the South to teach. It's starting to get really crowded now so I think people are starting to discover it (there are at least five studios that I know of in my city, which isn't that big--the population is about 130,000) so I'm hoping she begins to offer even more classes with other instructors. I basically want to be able to go everyday. I feel like it's the best thing for me.
