Helllo!
I'm at work and have been all day and yet have managed to buy:
*a pair of black lowtop Converse. I'm not sure why it took me four weeks to realize that my bad back gives me carte blanche to wear Converse all the time and stop wearing heels (unless they're super cute and I'm not walking anywhere)
*a bottle of Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo, Coolaulin conditioner, and The Smell of Weather Turning perfume from Lush, which is actually my first time buying from Lush. Do you have a favorite product?
*Begin to Hope by Regina Spektor, which I couldn't believe I didn't own before as it has both "Fidelity" and "Samsom", two of my favorites by her.
I went to yoga last night for a class taught by the owner. It was really good and more of what I was looking for. She was great about remembering to suggest other poses for me because I can't do backbends right now, even though the class was really crowded (nearly 35 people, which is the largest class I've ever been in), and did it so unobtrusively that I didn't feel weird about it but rather a part of the class and like I was really having a good session. My instructor last week was really lovely, too, but her suggestions fell more into the "don't do this one" without an alternative or child's pose as the alternative. I was able to get what I wanted out of the class, which is (at least in this case) clarity (of the "omg get yourself together" variety).

Your yoga place owner is an awesome, awesome person. Everything you've said about her makes me happy she's there with/for you.

I love citrusy smells so I'll look for those next.

I'm so glad your back is in good enough shape to try yoga again, and I'm especially pleased with the owner/instructor. Most of the instructors back when I was still trying to do yoga were the same as the first one - just do child's pose here, and I felt like, I can do child's pose at home ffs, help me. Is the owner teaching an ongoing class or was it a one time thing? It sounds like she'd be the better choice going forward if she'll be available. Regardless, I'm glad you're trying it again, and I send my best thoughts your way.

The owner teaches most of the classes and they offer a really good selection from basic to hot yoga to yin and a variety of flow classes. She runs a really great studio, very welcoming, and she's becoming well known in yoga circles as an instructor of yoga teachers, so travels all over the South to teach. It's starting to get really crowded now so I think people are starting to discover it (there are at least five studios that I know of in my city, which isn't that big--the population is about 130,000) so I'm hoping she begins to offer even more classes with other instructors. I basically want to be able to go everyday. I feel like it's the best thing for me.

I have really horrible hair (thin, fine, gets greasy quickly) and I find their Roots hair treatment is pretty amazing for it.

I hesitated with the bath bombs both because of the price and stuff that was in them. I've never had one with glitter but I think it would make me lose my mind. The ones with potpourri absolutely do--hard to clean them out of the tub and I hate the bits sticking to me.
Have you tried their bar shampoos? They had one called New that is supposed to stop your hair from shedding and thicken it, which is what I was looking for. Ever since I started growing my hair out, I feel like I'm shedding worse than my cats. The reviews were everywhere for the bars though and I didn't know anyone who had tried them.
